I am so happy that Statesboro is doing this. Fresh local veggies sounds GREAT to me. I can’t wait to shop!
You may have asked “why doesn’t downtown Statesboro have a farmers’ market?” Now Statesboro will be added to the list of towns that have an ongoing farmers’ market. The Market will be held in the parking lot behind Sea Island Bank on East Main Street. It will feature produce and other goods from local farmers and craftspeople. The first market will be held on April 19th from 9AM – 2PM and then again on May 21st. Starting in June it will be expanded to 1st and 3rd Saturdays. so is this farmer’s market worth coming out to? we haven’t been to Statesboro yet and I was thinking to check it out and see how it’s different than our Savannah market :)
