Happy Weekend
Brian and B’s photo in the Statesboro Herald
Several people have told us that Brian and Beatrice’s picture was in the paper a few weeks ago. I finally took the time to find it. Click here to see their debut. I do not have any idea what day it was published.
If you know, please share the information. In the case you have a copy of it, I would love to see it.
I know the photo was taken while they were at Gentilly Gardens promoting Alzheimer’s Memory Walk Awareness. Other than that I do not have much information.

Invitations
We decided to have a little party for Beatrice this year with her Mommy’s Morning Out group. Rather than have the invitations printed as normal, I decided to take the DIY route. I got these at Hobby Lobby. I am pleased with the quality. I think the whimsical cupcakes atop the invitation are appealing. Hmm, perhaps I should stay with this theme. Okay, to keep with the cupcake theme, I will have cupcakes at the party. Miss Sarah’s yummy cupcakes! Ah, yes. This is coming together.
Okay, so what else do I need to get?
- drinks
- napkins
- paper cups
- party hats
- maybe balloons, maybe not
Wow. This is going to be so easy. I can’t wait!
Girl with a Nest
I am so ready for spring to get here. By far spring is my favorite season. I am totally jonesing. I can’t wait to hear the birds sing and their babies chirp. Ahhh, to feel the warm, shiny sun. These images are so fabulous that I can not help but feel sunny, happy, and oh so fresh and bouncy.
Happy Tuesday.
Beatrice feeding the baby doll
Beatrice feeding Catherine’s doll.
She still loves life-like dolls. She carried this doll around the house the whole time Catherine was here to play. While feeding her baby, B would hold the bottle in place for a while and then break to give the baby a kiss. It was so sweet. She is going to be the best big sister; and, a devoted, tender mama one day.
Dreaming today
I have been dreaming today in a trance that has me traveling around the world. Wouldn’t it be great to take a year off to dance across the globe? Footloose. Fancy free.
I don’t need an itinerary, or an agenda. Life has always been more interesting when it is sprinkled with serendipity. A little spontaneity goes a long way for me while my life has always been shaped by an instinct for adventure. Now, I really would like a new, grand adventure. I would like to sample the world. A small taste will do. A morsel of time. One kibble. One year.
Maybe it’s this book that I am reading or this book that is responsible for the motivation of my latest aspiration and flights of fancy. Honestly, I can’t really put my finger on the reasons. I am merely admitting the direction of my latest imaginations.

Pisces Mother
I am a Pisces Mother as I read this today. I think, it sounds just like me.
Pisces as a Mother: As a mother, a Piscean will spoil her children. She would be so sentimental and emotional that she would burst into tears if her child cries. Enforcing discipline to her children would be difficult. Being tidy and systematic may not seem important for her. She would fall in line with whatever direction their interests take her children which is excellent for a developing child.
In case you are wondering why in the world I came upon this information, I have been looking up the compatibility of a Pisces mother and Gemini son. I don’t know if all the astrology stuff is true; however, it is entertaining to peruse the forcasts. Don’t you think?
So far, it looks like it is a good cosmic match. More, Brian’s birth sign is the ideal paternal match for a Gemini baby.
It’s the stars: life is going to be good. Hooray.
Playing with Catherine
Baby B is becoming a little girl. Oh, and Mommy is sad about it.
Here are some pictures of she and her friend Catherine. Of all of her cronies, Catherine is the one that Beatrice enjoys the most. It’s kind of funny because my best friend as a child was Allison, who was an August Birthday. Similiarly, Beatrice and Catherine are a March/August match. They play, and play, and play.
And, jump on the couch.
And, discover long lost items in the couch. And, kiss and make up (B is kissing Catherine’s hurt finger in the bottem picture).
They are little girls!
This is the way we brush our teeth
I think we are going to have to learn this song and use this enrichment in the Hulsey House. Beatrice’s teeth brushing skills are limited. I must be an awful teacher because after about a year of practice she still sucks the training paste off the brush as she rarely actually brushes her teeth.
The several weeks ago I was in the store when the child in a cart in front of me smiled. When he smiled there were two cavities – one on each of the teeth beside the front two teeth. The cavities were front and center. It was all that I could see. More, I haven’t stopped considering it since.
Does anyone have any tooth brushing advice for a two year old?

Papa Babysits
Brian kept Beatrice the other night. He said she was really quiet for a long period of time so he went to check on her. Standing atop a stool looking in the bathroom mirror she appeared to be applying lipstick. When she turned around it was obvious that she was not using lipstick. She was using Mommy’s mascara!
