I received this today.  Clay is an old ‘boro buddy.  We go back as far as  preschool here in Statesboro as Mrs. Joyner’s Little School.  It’s so sad.  It makes my heart hurt.  I am passing it on in hopes of helping them sell a few extra dinners and spur a few extra blessings.  Clay is an awesome person.  According to my husband there is something special about red heads. And, Clay is one.

Clay Gracen, a former Bulloch County Deputy, who currently works for the State of Georgia Juvenile Probation and part time as a Brooklet Police Officer has been out of work for some time.  He is very sick and recently had a colostomy bag put in.  Clay is 32 years old and is a married father of 3 children all under the age of 6.  His wife is Celena Perkins-Gracen.

The Brooklet Police Department will be selling dinners and all proceeds will go to Clay and his family to help with bills.  All of the food has been donated so 100% goes to him and his family.

Dinners are $6.00 and will be available Friday, November 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Westside Automotive (across from Ellis Meat) behind the Statesboro Post Office.  Dinners include:

·         Grilled Chicken (leg quarters)

·         Green Beans

·         Potato Salad

·         Dessert

Please let Craig Hunter know if you are interested.  He will be selling tickets at the Century 21 office.  Checks can be made out to Clay Gracen fund raiser

Thanks in advance for helping this local family in need.
